STELLAR MASTER ELITE come from Germany and were created in 2010. So far they have released four studio albums and in 2020 are returning with their new EP “Hologram Temple: Ominous”. The truth is that it was only in 2019 with their record “Hologram Temple” that we’ve learned their name. As you have figured out,  STELLAR MASTER ELITE have taken their name from the famous song of the huge THORNS, but any similarities stop here. Their sound is based on Black Metal through an experimentation with Death/Doom Metal and some electronic and industrial elements.

The Hologram Temple: Ominous includes 3 songs from the sessions of  “Hologram Temple” and a total of about seventeen minutes length. The first song is “A New Galactic Empire,” which moves in a mid-tempo Black/Doom Metal monotonous direction with influences from BURZUM and in the middle there’s an atmospheric break. Continue with “Mask”, which music and vocals have a more Death Metal approach with the speeds rising noticeably in some parts of the composition. Finally, the EP closes with “Exposing the Lurking Threat of Layer X” an atmospheric outro with keys, electronic sounds and samples.

As a general conclusion, STELLAR MASTER ELITE in its new EP sounds more pleasing than in 2019’s “Hologram Temple” and that is because their full length was one hour long and sounded hopelessly boring. The feeling of being a Black Metal band that likes Doom Metal was very tiresome. So, if they do not realize their weakness to improve, it would be better for them to release only ΕPs.
