His name is known to everyone. Either from his brief spell in IRON MAIDEN, or from his later solo career. Some have been loving him since he was a member of the Beast’s line-up, considering “X-Factor” to be a classic MAIDEN album and some have appreciated him during his solo career. Some may have hated him, not realizing the weight of the microphone he was called to pick up. Even them, however, can only admit that he is a noble artist and an honest ambassador of what we call NWOBHM.
In his personal career, he has released nine albums so far, with the magnum opus of his albums being the “Infinite Entanglement” trilogy which ended with the release of its third and final part, “The Redemption Of William Black (Infinite Entanglement Part III)”, released in 2018.
If one can appreciate something in Blaze is that in every concert he literally gives his soul, regardless of place, time and size of the audience. He gives everything he has in his live shows, so that the audience will not leave unhappy, no matter what. Being direct and warm with his audience, he creates a “family” atmosphere, playing songs from his entire career, without excluding songs from his IRON MAIDEN period. When those are played, they cause panic, showing the acceptance of people for those two albums, even if they are not the best that the Beast has ever released.
That’s exactly what someone will find, if he decides to listen to the new, live, recorded and videotaped in the Czech Republic, work of Blaze Bayley and his mates, a band that, besides his personal band, are also members of the rapidly rising ABSOLVA. At the same time, in the live DVD, released under the same title, one will find a documentary, entitled “The Road to Brno”, with moments from the band on the road life. I don’t think we have much more to say here, if you’ve been to a Blaze show, you know what to expect. The rest, try it, it will not disappoint you.
