RHODIUM is a Greek Heavy/Power Metal band, founded at 2017 by Lucas Wolve Antoniou (lead guitar) and having on their ranks, Kostas Kiriakis on the bass (Entry Wound), Sergio Tellis on the guitar, Mike Lee on vocals (Crusade of Steel, Silent Winter, Zix, Timo Tolkki-live, Keepers of Jericho, Maidenance, ex-Accelerator, ex-Deified, ex-Fortress Under Siege, ex-Sideways Effects) and Stelios Pavlou on drums. Despite being only two years active, they already have two full albums in their catalog, with the second one named “Sea of the Dead”.

Lyrically, although there is a connection between the tracks, the album is not a concept. It touches social, humanitarian, psychological and even religious issues, trying to show through the lyrics contemporary social concerns that disturb humanity, through short stories that provides food for thought and lead the listener to reflection.

Musically the album, despite its obvious Power Metal influences, belongs more to the modern Heavy sound, with some faster riffs but also guitar tunes and solos that “squeeze” the Power “talkative” moments. The vocals performed by Mike Lee (Michael Liva) are really good. “Delirio”, “First Light of Day” and the homonymous “Sea of the Dead” are probably the highlights of the album.

All in all, this is an interesting and attentive release that seems to surpass its predecessor, leaving promises for what’s about to come…
