The great OBITUARY return with their 5th album. “Death’s throat” John Tardy, is here again. Did I say death throat? Well not any more. As known, John faced a serious health problem at his vocal chords and that was not possible not to affect his performance in the band. So, his characteristic growlings that made OBITUARY stand out, are not there anymore. The sound is thrash-ish and the songs are fast and sharp, 5 of them have duration under 3minutes.
So, we have a total of eleven Death/Thrash torrents, somehow far from the style we were used, but full of power and energy. Don’t know if and how it will please the classic fans of the band, but the total is very good and you must check it out!
