The Spanish deathsters from Seville MURDER WORKER were found in 2017, and have released their debut album “Where Scream Becomes Silence” in 2018. The end of 2021 found them with their second album “Where The Scum Becomes Dinner”. This time with a renewed half line-up, with new guitarists Rubio and Jose framing the old Negro (bass, vocals) and Antonio on the drums.

As in their debut, MURDER WORKER enjoy playing old-fashioned Death Metal on the outskirts of Grind with short -sometimes loud and sometimes explosive- songs and the necessary splatter gore lyrical theme, not to mention the sick humorous moments that dictate. There are moments when you will feel that your head is moving rhythmically up and down (p.s. headbanging that is), but the truth is that I’ve heard all of this many times in the past and I’m no longer impressed. “Crispy Lawyer’s Heart” will arouse some interest as well as “Pedophile’s Testicles with Barbecued Mushrooms”, in general the recipes suggested by chefs MURDER WORKER are ideal for a splatter dinner.

The production is as rotten as it should be and the artwork does not deviate at all from the themes the band has defined. As for me, I will listen to “Where The Scum Becomes Murder” but when I am in the mood again I will prefer the classics of the genre “Reek Of Putrefaction”, “Slowy We rot” and “Scum” and not something so close to this familiar sound.
