The recent situation in the United States of America with all the murders and the social reactions that followed, has also mobilized a number of people in the music industry. This is what Mr. Robb Flynn observed and decided to release as MACHINE HEAD a digital single of two new compositions, which are lyrically about the vicinity of the riots and the police brutality in America.

MACHINE HEAD successfully continue the songwriting downfall of their latest tragic album “Catharsis”. The first song, “Stop The bleeding”, features Jesse Leach from KILLSWITCH ENGAGE as a guest vocalist. A composition that could easily be included in KILLSWITCH ENGAGE’s album as it reminds me a lot of this band! Just at the end of the song, the familiar sound of MACHINE HEAD comes up-front. “Bulletproof” is next, a heavier song comparing to the first one. It looks like it’s carrying moments from the band’s previous albums “Through the ashes of Empires” and “Bloodstone & Diamonds.” Generally, these two songs sound very poor, as if they have been written it in haste, having nothing new to offer

I am really disappointed with the fact that one of my favorite bands, which I have been following since the beginning, in the recent years seems to be on a continuous downfall and I am not willing to give them again another chance, as I did in the past after their last tragic albums “The Burning Red” and “Supercharger”. Rob Flynn’s egocentrism and stubborn head led two great musicians (Phil Demmel and Dave McClain) to leave the band and himself to release the awful album “Catharsis”. Perhaps we realized that MACHINE HEAD had theirs career highlight with “The Blackening” and now they have become Flynn’s personal project, which is used to fill his bank account with “Burn My Eyes” tours. Musically it seems to have lost his inspiration
