DARK WORSHIP is a music collective by J. Meyers (Axioma, Aureae Crucis) with the help of Aaron Dallison (Axioma, Keelhaul, Brain Tentacles, Perdition Sect), Nathan Opposition (Ancient VVisdom, Integrity) and J. The Reed (Exorcisme, To Dust) that works as an instrument to outline the essence of sonic darkness!

A question that can hardly be answered is where do they musically belong? On the one hand, they belong to the area of Death Industrial, which brings to mind releases of the legendary Cold Meat Industry such as BRIGHTER DEATH NOW and the well-known kings of the Noise MERZBOW. On the other hand, their relationship with Metal is that they use hard distorted and low tuned guitars in their sound in a more Sludge/Post Punk style, being reminiscent of bands like SWANS, GODFLESH and AUTHOR AND PUNISHER. Another feature is the existence of many percussions that make their sound more Industrial/Experimental and more pompous. The release is basically an EP with six songs of a total duration around 20 minutes, out of which I would single out the song “We’ve Always Been Here” which opens the album.

In general, “Flesh of a Saint” is a controversial release, with the main disadvantages being the short duration and the lack of memorable moments. In terms of music arrangement and production, those are at a high level. However, one cannot judge whether the band has a future or not, since this is just the first album. If you are a fan of the aforementioned bands and genres, listen to them. It is available in limited edition cassette and vinyl.
