Recommendations for BEHEMOTH and Mr. Nergal are not needed. In 2018 they have released their latest album “I Loved you at your Darkest” and in 2019 they released a limited edition EP entitled “O Pentagram Ignis”. This EP was released during BEHEMOTH’ s tour “Ecclesia Diabolica Baltica”, in 10’’vinyl limited edition of 666 copies (333 clear and 333 white vinyl), includes four songs and all copies were signed by the band.

Each side of the vinyl has two songs each. The first side begins with the title track, which was released as a bonus in the Japanese version of “I Loved you at your Darkest” album. A composition in the classic style of BEHEMOTH, catchy Death Metal with mid tempo rhythm and some blastbeat outbursts. At some points it reminded me two older songs of the band “Inner Sanctum” and “Demigod”. A mediocre song, which, of course, could have been included, in their last album’s regular version of the Poles. The remaining three tracks are live recordings from BEHEMOTH’s concerts in various European cities during 2019. These songs are “Sabbath Mater”, “Wolves of Siberia” and “Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica”.

“O Pentagram Ignis” is only for BEHEMOTH’s die hard fans who want to have everything in their collection. We must also add that on the band’s web-store has appeared another version of the EP, as a picture disk (with Nergal’s signature only), which is overpriced at 30 USD!! Anyway, for BEHEMOTH other things matter more than the music itself. The commercialized anti-christian element and the not so good musical quality of their latest albums is also reflected in “O Pentagram Ignis”.
