The grand finale of ATROCITY’s Okkult trilogy, “Okkult III”, was released yesterday (January 20th) through Massacre records. To celebrate the release the band unveiled an official video for its new single “Fire Ignites”, produced by Mastersound Entertainment. It is available as 2-CD media book, limited edition vinyl LP, limited edition box set with exclusive content as well as in digital formats. The limited edition box set contains the “OKKULT III” 2-CD media book, a flag, a patch, two postcards as well as an autograph card.
On their new album, the band has recruited several guest musicians, such as Elina Siirala (LEAVE’S EYES, ANGEL NATION), Zoe Marie Federoff (CRADLE OF FILTH, CATALYST CRIME), Robse Dahn (EQUILIBRIUM), Misstiq, Jonah Weingarten (CATALYST CRIME, PYRAMAZE), as well as Igor Górewicz.
Alexander Krull himself produced, mixed and mastered the album, and Stefan Heilemann (HEILEMANIA) once again captured the album’s atmosphere with his artwork. The Emmy Award-winning sound designer Katie Halliday (“SAW”, “Stranger Things”, “Star Trek: Discovery”) also once again contributed sound effects to the album.
The lyrical concept about the dark side of human history, obscure stories and mysterious places is spun further on “Okkult III”. ATROCITY comments: “We look deep into the mental abysses of the serial killer Józef Cyppek from Szczecin, Poland, in the 1950s (‘Cypka’), experience the great conspiracy of the Schwarze Reichswehr after World War I (‘Born To Kill’), dive into the world of modern ghost conjuring (‘Faces From Beyond’) and into the occult machinations of the Vatican and the Order of the Knights Templar (‘Bleeding For Blasphemy’).”
In other news, ATROCITY were recently confirmed for the 70.000 Tons Of Metal cruise, which kicks off from Miami, Florida to Bimini, The Bahamas from January 30th to February 3rd, 2023.
